About The Unplugged Parlor
A home for analog projects, useful particulars, and the gentle excuse to invite someone over.
Come back to your hands—and each other. The Unplugged Parlor gathers analog tools and complete activities for making, gathering, sending a thought, and keeping a quiet personal ritual.
A clear place to begin
Starting matters more than expertise. We look for activities with an understandable first step, realistic time and skill guidance, and enough included material to make the setup feel welcoming.
Gather, send, or settle in
Some projects are made for a shared table. Others suit a handwritten note or a quiet hour alone. We treat all three as worthwhile without pressure, nostalgia theater, or a claim that one kind of activity is better than another.
The particulars belong up front
Participant count, elapsed time, skill level, contents, size, materials, care, setup, and limitations should be easy to find. Printed instructions should be complete; digital material can be helpful but should not be required for the core activity.
No cure, no forced connection
These products can make it easier to begin something tangible. They do not cure loneliness, replace support, or promise a therapeutic outcome.
